Wallpaper Collection

Having just upgraded my hardware and now running Windows 7 with a DVI connection to my Asus 24-inch display, I can say that the wallpaper collection looks even better now than ever. I have set the desktop background to slide-show with the 'stretch' setting. The wallpapers look very nice indeed. Most of them suit very nicely as true HD wide-screen wallpapers.

I have read many posts belating the lack of good high-quality wide-screen wallpaper material. Look no further than our collection here. It will delight and entertain you. Even though I edited every photo personally in Photoshop, I am still enamoured with every image as it appears on the desktop.

As you probably know, my efforts are presently directed toward my new classical sheet music site at Hemingway's Studio, so that is why you don't see much new material here lately. I have not abandoned this site though, so come back to see what new material I have to share.

Changes to the site are in progress

You will have noticed that there are changes happening here. I have never been very happy with the site design and so I am working on an overhaul.

While this is happening, you will see many areas where text, etc., looks pretty bad. Please forgive this appearance and know that I am working on making this site much more enjoyable to view and use.

Haven't forgotten you

My apologies for not posting new material over the past few weeks. You may be aware that I have been busy getting the music studio up and running, and I've spent a lot of time getting Hemingway's Studio Music Library filled out with its compliment of free downloadable classical music scores (sheet music).

It is my intention to start updating this site in the very near future. Having learned a heck of a lot of HTML, I will be making this site a little more interesting. I also have quite a number of new icons in mind to add to this gallery.

So stay tuned... come back... and we'll be rolling along soon enough.

Virtual World Tour - Wallpapers Collection

The wallpapers collection ("Hemingway's Virtual World Tour") is now fully available for download. Featuring 1,269 wallpapers from all over the world, it is bound to delight you.

Being such a large collection, it is catagorized and broken down into manageable chunks.... each approximately 100 MB. Now I know you wouldn't want to just take my word for it that this is a very nice collection, so there are complete thumbnail previews of each volume in the package.

So hit the "DOWNLOADS" button to go to the downloads page, and scroll down to view the thumbnails. Back up at the top are the download links.

"What am I going to do with all those images?", you ask. You will also see for download some wallpaper manager software. With it you can have your desktop wallpaper change automatically, which is really cool. I chose these two pieces of software because they are VERY light on resources and WON'T SLOW YOUR COMPUTER DOWN! (even if it is not that great of a computer).

How I use this software is to change the desktop background picture every 6 minutes. I have it choose the pictures sequentially. That means that with the entire collection I don't see a repeat picture until after 8 days, 4 hours .... that's is if I sit in front of the computer all that time staring at the desktop! ;) Full and easy instructions come with the software download.

Icon Gallery now online

My full gallery of icons is now online for you to view and download. Just scroll down the page to view it. Descriptions will be added shortly, as will my wonderful wallpaper collection . . . all 1500+ images will be available. And, there's more to come!

Have images that you have authored or found? Why not share them with others through the online forum?

Of course, many will have questions... how can I share? ... how do I use an icon file? ... how do I replace the icons for My Computer, My Documents, or the Recycle Bin? A full FAQ will also be posted to answer most of your questions, and if there is something not covered, again you can use the forum to ask your questions.

Yes this site is starting to gear up. Stay tuned and tell your friends to come and hang out here too.
